TX-approaches to multiflows and metrics
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper is an exposition of a unified approach to multiflow problems using certain polyhedral objects called tight spans or TX-spaces. The tight span was introduced by Isbell and Dress, independent on the multiflow research. In the middle of 90’s, Karzanov and Chepoi explored the significance of tight spans in the multiflow theory. We explain how the tight span derives min-max relations to multiflow problems and how its geometry affects discreteness issues of flows and potentials.

Review of ranked-based and unranked-based metrics for determining the effectiveness of search engines
Purpose: Traditionally, there have many metrics for evaluating the search engine, nevertheless various researchers’ proposed new metrics in recent years. Aware of this new metrics is essential to conduct research on evaluation of the search engine field. So, the purpose of this study was to provide an analysis of important and new metrics for evaluating the search engines. Methodology: This is ...
متن کاملOn Ideal Clutters, Metrics and Multiflows
Abs t rac t . "Binary clutters" contain various objects studied in Combinatorial Optimization, such as paths, Chinese Postman Tours, multiflows and one-sided circuits on surfaces. Minimax theorems about these can be generalized in terms of ideal binary clutters. Seymour has conjectured a characterization of these, and the goal of the present work is to study this conjecture in terms of multiflo...
متن کاملProviding a Link Prediction Model based on Structural and Homophily Similarity in Social Networks
In recent years, with the growing number of online social networks, these networks have become one of the best markets for advertising and commerce, so studying these networks is very important. Most online social networks are growing and changing with new communications (new edges). Forecasting new edges in online social networks can give us a better understanding of the growth of these networ...
متن کاملUndirected Multiflow Problems and Related Topics - Some Recent Developments and Results
A multiflow (multicommodity flow), arising as a natural extension of the well-known notion of a network flow, is a popular object studied in linear programming and combinatorial optimization. We discuss some recent results on undirected multiflow problems and ideas behind them, concerning combinatorial and computational aspects, such as: (i) the existence of feasible and optimal solutions with ...
متن کاملComparison of state-of-the-art atlas-based bone segmentation approaches from brain MR images for MR-only radiation planning and PET/MR attenuation correction
Introduction: Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging has emerged as a valuable tool in radiation treatment (RT) planning as well as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging owing to its superior soft-tissue contrast. Due to the fact that there is no direct transformation from voxel intensity in MR images into electron density, itchr('39')s crucial to generate a pseudo-CT (Computed Tomography) image ...
